Terminal 2 at Manchester airport was actually the last to be built, opening in 1993. Today it handles about 8 million travelers a year but there are plans for significant expansion to increase capacity to around 25 million people a year.

Terminal 2 is spread over two floors with the majority of services contained on level 2.
Level 1: The arrivals area is on the first floor.
Level 2: Check-in and departures are on the second floor with the majority of retail shops.

Terminal 2 has a good selection of facilities and services with a choice of places to eat or drink and several retail shops.
Shopping
Terminal 2 has the most fashion and accessory shops at Manchester airport. It has the only Monsoon, Dorothy Perkins and la Senza stores as well as a Hamleys for children.

Cafés and restaurants
Terminal 2 has a choice of fast food and snacks as well as a variety of dishes in the Runway Brasserie. Alternatively you can enjoy a Starbucks Cappuccino or one of Millie's delicious cookies.

Bureaux de Change
Ice and Thomas Cook provide currency exchange desks before and after security control and also in Arrivals.
Internet Access
There is wireless access for laptop or PDA users in the cafés and seating areas. Free access to the Manchester airport website or you can sign in at a small cost for general usage.
Toilets
Toilets with disabled access and baby change facilities are located throughout the airports in departures, arrivals and airside at terminal 2.
Information Desk
The information desk is located in the main hall in Arrivals. There are also blue phones throughout the airport which connect you to the information desk.
